Book this ride

Viscri is a small Saxon village known for its fortified church, part of the UNESCO group of Transylvanian church-fortresses. The last kilometres leave the main road and are slower than the highway time suggests. From Bucharest, about 255 km and about four hours and fifteen minutes is the figure before that village lane. A same-day return is a long day. Sighișoara is the usual pairing, but Viscri is a detour, not a stop on the citadel’s main street. Agree it in advance. Brașov is the other way back if you would rather not retrace the whole road at night. No fare is published. The church’s own visiting arrangements are not listed here. The last stretch into the village is the part people underestimate. It is not the highway time. If it has rained, say so in the sense that we will check the lane, not that we invent a closure. The fortified church is the stop. The village is a few streets. This is a poor choice for a same-day return if you also want Sighișoara done properly. Pick one main stop, or stay the night. Brașov is a possible way back if you do not want to retrace every kilometre after dark. There is no published fare. We do not list a donation amount or a visiting hour for the church. Ask the people who keep it, and tell us how long you need the car to wait. Leave a phone number that is answered on the day. If the lane is slow, the meeting time at the church moves with it. Do not treat the village as a quick add-on after a full Brașov morning.
